Layla

Layla is a Thoroughbred Light Draft X who stands at 16hh.

Personality

Layla is a very sweet and kind mare with a very motherly nature.

History

Layla was hand-reared by humans after her mother, a light Thoroughbred racehorse, died during birth. Layla due to her draft blood was slightly larger than average which caused a tear which wouldn't stop bleeding. She escaped her humans at 5 years old just after they started to back her, despite this she still remains very trusting of humans.

She also has a colt, Rubble, through Calibre (copyright to harlequin-wondercat on deviantArt).

Zodiac

Zodiac is a loner of a mare of Thoroughbred breed who stands at 16hh.

Personality

Nobody really knows what Zodiac's personality is like as she isn't seen often but sarcastic and insecure seems to be the main features.

History

Unknown, rumoured to have murdered her mother and ran away from home.

Alarice

Alarice is a character with a very complex history. She is distantly related to Amalthea the great unicorn who thought she was the last. She is 14hh high.

Personality
She is a very angry mare. She feels like she has been forgotten by her family. In reality her mother is missing and her father due to his heritage isn't allowed any contact with his daughter. She also doesn't know how to find her grandparents and great grandparents.

History
Alarice's great great grandmother was the great great niece of the legendary Spirit Unicorn Amalthea, the one who believed she was the last of her kind. Amoret didn't like life in the Enchanted Forest so left. Soon after she found Rolo a Galaxy Unicorn of Highland Pony build and they bred and produced Andrew. Andrew met Mustang horse Annie and they had Marco who met Fjord horse Aria and they had Elle who came across Silas a Forest Elemental of Cob type and Alarice was the result.

Alarice's history will be told in more detail via a comic once I have written it in novel form.

*Her name has been changed due to some research which determined Alaric as a masculine name with Alarice being the feminine form*

Caro

Caro is a Suffolk Punch x Connemara in breed and she stands at 14.3 hands high.

Personality

Caro is equally as stubborn as her daughter Somerset but a lot more chatty. She is not generally moody but if you act wrong or say something wrong at certain times then she can go into a grump however these never last long. She is always trying to find ways to improve the field where she and Somerset live and is never satisfied. She is a very social mare who loves company. Particularly (to her daughter's distaste) the stupid grey and brown Shetlands Carolee and Teena in the next field.

History

Not much is known about Caro's history only that her mother was a Connemara of 14.3hh and her father was an elder Suffolk Punch of 15.2hh, she has a large family (5 brothers and a sister), some of whom are likely half siblings. Particularly her sister who is tall and lean like the grey Thoroughbred that she saw her mother with once.

Caro left her home field as a teenager and went to live with her Grandmother a small and slight grey Connemara of 13.2hh, she made decent friends in the shapes of Carolin a bay Welsh pony also of 14.3hh and Linn a buckskin Quarter Horse of 15hh, Carolin she remains good friends with to this day.

Somerset

The first character posted is obviously going to be Somerset as she is myself in equine form. She is 3/4 Suffolk Punch and 1/4 Connemara pony in breed. and stands at 15.3 hands high.

Personality

She is very stubborn, insecure, moody, lacks confidence and she can be rather lazy. She loves nothing better than mooching around a field, standing under large trees and paddling in rivers. She also loves the beach and will occasionally trek the 15 miles to the nearest one. Also like myself she is a lesbian.

History

When she was a foal Somerset used to be teased frequently about her size in relation to being a draft horse. She was also ridiculed for having alternative interests and different markings to the norm. Others also never understood her fascination with earrings (she has 4 in each ear), spikes and tattoos (she has one on the inside of her left foreleg).

As such due to her childhood ridicule Somerset has grown up to be quite an isolated mare apart from the lifelong crush she has had on one of her only friends, a light chestnut Quarter Horse mare named Saray who unfortunately has found her life mate in a bay Cob stallion named Sheehan.

However things are looking up as she has recently met flighty Andalusian mare Selene who Somerset feels may be her soulmate.

Her mother is a Suffolk Punch, Connemara cross mare of 14.3 hands of a mid brown colouring by the name of Caro.
